Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) Exam Prep Workshop

Overview        

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is the industry standard for demonstrating competence and a solid foundation of project management skills. This workshop prepares participants to write the PMI CAPM® certification exam and provides the 23 hour educational credits required for new applications. The course provides an overview of the PMI framework for project management and sets the context for the Knowledge Area courses which follow. The course covers coordination of the project management processes providing skills in developing the project charter, developing the project management plan, directing, and monitoring the project work, performing integrated change control and closing the project or phase.

Priority will be given to Masters Certificate in Project Management (MCPM)  graduates.  This preparatory course is ideal for individuals that is:

  • not ready to write the PMP (Project Management Program) Certification exam that requires a combination of course work and number of hours of project management experience.
  • this course aligns with the MCPM graduates’ recently completed course work.

Important Note:

All GN employees are welcome to register, but the course will be offered based on Eastern Standard Time (EST) from 9:30 am – 5:00 pm. Participants enrolled are expected to complete this course based on this time zone.
