Call for Members: Client Engagement Committee

Iqaluit Health Services is seeking three community members to join the Client and Community Engagement Team to work with Iqaluit Health Services staff and leadership on improving healthcare services for Nunavummiut.

Interested applicants must:

  • Be a resident of Iqaluit, but priority and preference will be given to Nunavut Inuit.
  • Have experience as a client or caregiver of a client who has received care through the Qikiqtani General Hospital or Iqaluit Public Health.
  • Be interested in healthcare systems and contributing to positive change.
  • Be open-minded and comfortable with sharing thoughts and feedback with a group of peers, healthcare workers, and policy makers.
  • Be able to commit two hours per month to a group discussion, both in-person and online, for a two-year term.

Participants selected for in-person meetings will receive taxi vouchers and complimentary food and beverages. Honorariums will be provided in accordance with the Financial Administration Manual Directive 810.

The first meeting of the new committee will be held on June 28, 2024.
